The variant "Freude herrscht" is classified as KS4+ in the SAC via ferrata scale. This means that this variant is very difficult to climb and is therefore only suitable for experienced climbers free from giddiness.

Who is the owner of the via ferrata?
The via ferrata ist owned and run by “IG Klettersteig Kandersteg-Allmenalp” a local non-profit organization.
Liability, safety, weather, emergencies
You are useing the via ferrata at your own risk. The “IG Klettersteig Kandersteg-Allmenalp” and the “Luftseilbahn Kandersteg-Allmenalp AG” disclaim liability.
You must wear appropriate equipment (harness, via ferrata-set, helmet, etc.). All materials have to be suitable, well maintained and must reach the official standards and carry the safety labels (UIAA-, CE- oder EN-Label).
During bad weather, rain and thunderstorms it is prohibited to use the via ferrata. The via ferrata is also closed at nights.
